Been following the thread with great interest and congradulations are way over due.

Now here is some advise.
1. Don't leave fishing gear in boat..........no explantion necessary
2. As G said get yourself a boat shed (locked) no explantion necessary
3. Get yourself a big mean dog, with sign "Mean dog" no explantion necessary

What he said. Boogers experience in east TN was enough to convince me. They even took his prop. CDC folks got him going again in short order. Everybody isn't like us, take precautions.

#6 Hire "G" as your night time security guard
#7 Get some boat insurance


Seriously, We will not leave any valuables or electronics on the boat. They will be locked in the shed. If someone steals from me then remember what the good book the Bible (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) says in I Chronicles 16:22-23 "He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm." Romans 12: 19 tells me that God himself will take care of the thief after man gets through with him. "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."

We will do all we can to protect The Legacy. Mama just said ..."NO DOG!"

You still need a shed though. Boat covers are good for short term use.....longer than that....they sweat and cause mold and mildew problems. Mine is just a open shed but it keeps the rain and direct sun off of it.
