That's a beautiful fat crappie! Congrats to your boy...looks like he really enjoyed it! But really, why does everybody think they have to take pictures of fish with their arms stretched out to the camera? My pet peeve, I guess, and I don't mean to offend. But nobody's fooled by that old trick, and I think a lot of us would just like to see a shot where we get an honest idea of how big the fish is. Anyway, great job getting out with your son and I bet you turned him into a crappie fisherman for life!

Nice Crappie. That is the way a father and son bond. The smile says it all...even if he is a Steelers fan. Chaunc would probable frame this photo as he is hugely into being a Steeler fan. Go Browns! They played a very close game against the Eagles and then against the Ravens last night! Now, that I have my own boat again, after eight long years without one, I can go after another trophy. My biggest one this year was 3.2 lbs. You should have seen the smile on my face then. Tell your son I know how he feels and congratulations.

Either way you hold it, the effect is deceptive. If you hold it too close, your body dwarfs the fish and it looks smaller than it really is. I holdem halfway out to split the difference. Nice fish no matter how you hold it. WTG!
