I have a 4 stroke Merc and so far have had no trouble and actually it's my 2nd one and no real trouble with either of them. One was a 200 from 1996 and the 115 I have now is a 2007, I think, not sure my memory is right on that, but close.
All I will say about boats is if you go to Alaska every guide up there has a Lund. I haver a Lund and had to go over 200 miles to get to a dealer in Dallas to get it. I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I got away from Bass boats that I have had most of my life chasing bass, but once I went full time crappie I started going through boats and only got happy when I got this Lund! I know ones like I have cost a lot, but very fine boat and design is second to none. Just my 2 cents!
