Love it. If you were closer to the tn river you could take a ride in mine.
Looks like this will be a good spot to get comments on stick steering. I am considering getting one, but have never been on the water in one. Any advice and/or thoughts appreciated.
I DO MY BEST PROOFREADING RIGHT AFTER I HIT THE "SUBMIT" BUTON

They do great on river's or anywhere you won't be going through really rough water. They fish great but will beat you to death in any type of wind/waves.
mine is a dry ride in all types of water...got a 1648 grizzly tracker with a 4-stroke 25hp...great lil boat but wish i would of got the 40hp

I was seriously lusting for a stick steer. The information I gathered led me to believe it depends a lot on the type fishing and where. Slipping in through the trees and working bank it is great.
Disadvantages -- When you are sitting up front under way be sure there are no young children in the boat. Something serious can happen fast and you are looking forward.
Waves have been discussed.
Cold weather. Again sitting in the front with both hands on the levers, leaves one splayed out and fully exposed to the elements. Now sitting in the back with one hand on the tiller isn't exactly being protected, but allows a limited amount of "hunkering down" lol
I have concluded that owning a stick steer isn't the best option up here in yankee country, but -------Doggone, I sure wish I had one . :D:D:D:D (beware my greatest enemy---myself. lol
Got a 96 Grumman stick steer - love the boat - wish I had more room though. During the summer time when all the pleasure boaters are on the lake it will beat you to death in the front. Not sure about the back as I have never rode there. Its like my office on the water. Once I get to where i am fishing i never have to get up. Everything is right there with me. If you are going to require room for more than two folks though I would take a long hard look at them and make sure you will have ample room.
like everyone has said above there good boats to fish out of. We have a Lowe with a 40 hp and the person that sits in the back will get wet from time to time. Any more than two pep and it gets a little crowded. Hope this helps
I have a 96 panfisher and it is a great boat for the ways I fish. Like all the others have said; hard ride when the lake is ruff.
When spider rigging or nightstalking I never have to move around in the boat. Longlining is just as easy, I only move to the back seat and with the i-pilot it's almost to easy!!!
Bottom line to me is for a fishing boat I love it but for a riding boat you can do a lot better!
