First Time Night fishing + No good = need advice

some great advice here, thanks to all who have had input. i am going to say, we might reconsider next time and head for the deeper water. seems to be a common denominator for alot that i am reading. full moon seems to also be something we need to stay away from. trust me....i understand that fishing is fishing, but i just want to at least make sure that i am maximizing my odds while i am trying something i havent done before. we wont give up, and wont stop learning....they cant beat us forever...hahaha
