Brad, you sound very determined to make things better so I just ordered my lifetime subscription - the woman on the phone was very helpful & friendly. I am a new subscriber & I am looking forward to checking out the mag, tackle pack & T shirt - what a deal. They said I would receive an email confimation by Tues or Wed & should see my first subscription & goodies in the next 6-8wks.
    Thanks

I have received several emails, about anything and everything bashing Crappie World magazine on this website. I wanted to give you all a chance to not only look a gift horse in the mouth, but have a chance to talk to him as well. I'll do you one better, that the last owners didn't do, 918-364-4210 is our office number, and if you want to call on my dime, its 800-554-1999, or direct email to me, [email protected]. Call or email your questions or concerns.

I have been employed by this publishing company for the past 12 years, on and off. I have had several positions here, including customer service manager. Taking that into consideration when I purchased this magazine, I took in everything complaint wise that I had heard over the years and tried to correct that. Mailings of the magazine being one of them. Other issues I am trying to address one at a time, like the print of the font is to small. No more stupid "you won a rod and reel" sweepstakes to be in a drawing. Bringing back the "crappie talk" section, hell, I one upped you, I am putting anglers like yourselves on the COVER!

Not being published in over 7 months, left a lot of subscribers wondering where, and high and dry. I decided to fulfill remaining subscriptions, althought I didn't have too. I worked 18 hour plus days, several weeks in a row, with no salary right now, and I built this magazine from scratch, by myself, to get it out on the newsstand and in the mail to the subscribers. Is it perfect? NOPE. I know more mistakes that you, I promise. BUT! A magazine went out. And it was my first. It was on time. It is on the newsstands, AND mailed to ALL current subscribers. Each one will get better, and adding over 8K new subscribers since JAN just shows some of you have faith. The next issue will be even better. There are several new sections in the magazines, and more are coming. Big changes including an updated website, facebook is open and you can friend Crappie World there, and twitter.

So I read a thread, of Crappie World has a new "GIMMICK" Well let me assure you its not gimmick, and other posters here that have ordered have verified. Yes, I am selling a lifetime subscription for $99, and you can be on the cover, have your crappie story published, receive a very large tackle pack, and other benefits. And you get a lifetime to BASSIN' included. Both magazines for $99. Tru story, search the forum and see.

I am here to publish this magazine, and make it the best ever. I have seen it in its prime, and unlike others, I do not golf and use this magazine to fund my other hobby, I am an angler, just like all of you. Comments and complaints and suggestions are absolutly welcome!

    Thank you,
    BRAD UHL

Let me tell you about Brad Uhl. I met Brad this year at a show in Louisiana. We had ran a spot in the mag. Brad went out of his way to come to the show and meet me in person, show me a prepress copy of the mag and make sure everything was all right. He explained to me how he came to be, what had been wrong, and what he wanted to fix. He bought a sinking ship knowingly, and no one does this unless they have the passion and desire to succeed.
I for one will say I have no doubt this will be the number one crappie magazine out there.

Brad, is there an electronic version of the mag available? Also, best of luck to you!

Brad, I really do wish you the best. However here is a sentence from the article entitled "How to Hookset for Crappie." -- "I keep my finger on the line as the bait falls so I can feel a strike on the line but instead wait until feel the fish on the time."

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope this is just a one-time thing and will buy the next issue.

I have subscribed in the past to this magazine several years ago and never received an issue or a refund. I just wonder what went with everyone's money. I hope you get things turned around and that you can gain back the trust lost by so many. Best wishes to you.

I apologize! Send me your name and address and we will see if you are still on file. I would LOVE to know what went with everyones subscription money. I surely did't get it. But for active files, I am sending magazines for current paid subscribers on my dime. I did not have to this, and I wish I could send everyone a sub that is in the database, but I am doing all this at this time on my dime.

Email me your name and address at [email protected] and I will look up your sub. Thank you! - BU

Believe me, I can find many more errors that you can't. One of your fellow Crappie Anglers, is a retired english teacher, and he took a red pen to the entire magazine, page for page, and marked it, mailed it back, and wrote a letter.

Truth is, this was my very first issue of Crappie. I know there are errors. I worked day and night on this, just to meet the deadline and get it out to the printer. After 7 months of subscribers not getting an issue, I had to get it out the door. This is not my best work. I printed BASSIN' as well, and thought it was amazing, and when the 2nd issue went out, I HATE the 1st issue. And it was my 1st as a publisher.

Bottom line, every issue will get better. I have proofreaders, editors, ad sales, graphics, layout, printers, new publishing software, all that I did not have before. (I bought this company and we are running windows ME) Upgraded now to XP, but wow...You have no I idea. I do apologize, and I promise each issue will get better! Watch for the next one in the mail about June 10, and newsstands on 27th or so. PLEASE make sure you let me know what you think! - BU
