Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for such a cool resource. I am a former bass tournament fisherman that got out of it due to a bad back, and I'm now getting into fishing again with my girlfriend and her kids, on a much more recreational level. I caught this nice 16" crappie on a 4" Senko and a 2/0 extra wide gap hook a couple weeks ago, and then my girlfriend caught one a little smaller and then one even bigger this past Saturday, her 14 year old son was with us that time. Seeing those nice crappie was all it took for him, he's hooked. Since I don't know much about crappie fishing, I've recommended that he join here so he can learn, and I joined too so I can learn as well. We're looking at getting a small boat so we can get out on Jordan, Harris, and some of the other lakes in/near the Triangle area. Anyway, enough rambling, I probably won't post much but I'll be reading a lot. Here's my fish, catching this was more exciting to me than catching a 7 pound bass
