    Default barametric pressure

Was fishing yesterday and noticed a change in the way the air felt. My wife called and asked if I noticed the air seemed to be different.Today is cloudy and it rained last night. Was this a baremetric change?...... Hope I am not having hot flashes but I am old enough. Any one else ever done this?

i have always thought when the weather turns colder, the fish bite less. cold air moving in brings about a change in temp, and also a drop in the baremetric pressure. from my experience, fish bite the least when a barometer is falling, and best when it is either remaining the same, or rising. others may have different experiences.

Quick drops on the barometer usually come with cold fronts, and cold fronts turn the bit off. I'd say it was an old wives tale because it's the opposite of what I was often told when I was a kid, but have seen it for myself more times than I care to.
