I have been tying crappie jigs for a very long time and my most favorite color combo is Chartruse head/pumkinseed green body w/black&silver flakes/chartruse&black marabou tail. Probly been tying for around 25 years now.
Junebug/Chartreuse has always been a good color combo, for me.
Have you tried "Peacock" ? It's the color combo of a Roadrunner that's no longer in production. Best I can recall, it was a chartreuse head, Teal body, & chartreuse tail. The bluish green color of the Teal body chenille, with the fluorescent yellow chartreuse of the head & tail, seemed to be a good contrast .... and worked equally well in clear or fairly stained water.

red head white body and chart tail.. kills them in jersey
Pink/chart head chart body pink hackle tail with 6 strands of rainbow flash. Tie on a silver sparkle collar right behind head. Red or chart hook.
Chartreuse everything; Silver everything; Red head with anything. It all depends on season, water color, clear or cloudy
