Well this is one way to try to entice people to put the pictures of fish where they are suppose to be in the first place. That's what the brag board is far. LOL

This is on the HONOR system right? This should be fun. LOL

I only have one question .... does the lure used have to be 100% Blakemore product ?? Or can one use a Roadrunner jighead, with other mfg's products (or live bait) ? I mostly use marabou Roadrunners ... but, on occasion, have been known to add a plastic body, of various other companies, to a Roadrunner head. I certainly wouldn't want to see anyone disqualified for doing so, myself included :D .

And I take it that the picture of the "qualifying" Crappie ... has to be placed on the "Brag Board" (and not on the Main Message Forum) -- and that a "sticky" poll post will be placed on the Main Message Forum, for members to vote on the "winning" fish. Will this be judged on size/weight ? Is April still open, or will the contest begin in May ?
OK ... I have more than "one" question :D ..... but, I just want to get all the facts straight from the git-go !!

Just saw this posting as I have been fishing for three days. Tore em up on roadrunners - lots of crappie, a boat full of sand bass, several black bass up to three pounds, one five pound drum and a channel cat that went 5.4 on my hand held electronic scale. Didn't photo anything although I had my digital in the boat. Thought this was normal. As Jimmy says " fish em slow."

    Hey Reaper,

You might want to try doing pics like that on the water with the jig still attached to the line, right after the fish has been caught...Looks strange with that jig in its lip while he's being photo'd back at the house.

    Default Following the rules

I just did what the rules said to do, make sure the lure is in it's mouth during the picture. I tied on a Road Runner, stuck a Southern Pro tube on it, and (daughter)caught the fish. It was the first Road Runner I have ever used. I now have 4 rods rigged with them. Vote for whomever you like, I just thought I might make an entry into the contest to get it started. I can just as easily withdraw it, if it is going to make me look bad amongst the members of this board. It was also the biggest fish I have seen caught on Oologah so far this spring which is unusual. Two - three and a half lbers are very common on this lake. I have fished the last 13 days out of 15, I am bound to catch something, sometime decent. There is a guy on this forum, that saw the fish while I was out on the water, but, was not present when it was caught.

    Exclamation Sac & Reaper ......

    keep it civil, guys.

If the contest was intended to find a picture for advertising purposes (for TTI-Blakemore), then I'd suspect that an "on the water" picture would probably have more "street cred". But, since this is just a promotional gesture, the reward is of minimal financial gain, and a poll will determine the "winning picture" .... then I don't see a problem with "staged" pictures, on or off the water ... (as long as honesty & integrity rule).

Remember ..... this is not necessarily a "big fish" contest !!

Make your "credibility" comments on the poll, by voting with a click of your mouse ... not verbally, on this thread/forum. ........... cp

    Dude,

All I did was offer a little advice...Keep the pic in the contest. I never ever ever said anything about or questioned the fish...You're the one taking this way too literal.

Great fish Reaper! Nobody around here has any doubt how you caught the fish! We should just stick to the state board. Go Oklahoma!
