Like everyone else said chartreuse is the go to color. My all time favorite fishing in the northwest also includes some orange. If you have yellow perch where you fish chartreuse/orange will kill 'em.

I look for subtle differences. Lets say I am pullin black/chartreuse, red/chartreuse, pumpkin/chartreuse/ and pink/chartreuse and all are catching fish. I look at where they are getting hooked, maybe 1 color combo is very deep in the mouth and the rest around the lips, i will move the majority to that color, or if the size of the fish are consistantly bigger on a particular color I will change to the majority of that color. But will continue with a variety in case their mood changes.

Thanks ya'll for the input. That is some good stuff. Any preference on body style that ya'll are fishing? or does that make much of a difference?

I prefer tubes, hair or feathers for vertical jigging and something with a lot of vibration while trolling like a tripple ripple or Stroll-R, but that is me, I don't think there is really a right or wrong, just what someone has confidence in and fishes with faith.
