I guess I could raise the price another $25 per set and spit polish them but I choose not too to give the end user a quality product at a fair price. And I will keep providing a product that needs a wrench for adjustment because I have been a user of knobs and wingnuts in the past with less than desirable results. If Hi-Tek holders are not for you that is perfectly fine with me. I have never found one product that was a perfect fit for everyone. That is why there are several different manufacturers for different products. As far as "paying" crappie.com, that is getting a little personal. I am a supporter of the website (as are other people and company's) because it is NORMALLY a good place to go and learn and discuss things. I doubt the little bit of money I pay entitles me to special treatment.

By the way, I have a model that has taller sides that are not on the website yet. I wish you success and many happy days of fishing with your new purchase.
That IS well said. I was typing my previous post while this was posted.

I WANT to hear personal experiences with a product, it helps us all make informed decisions on OUR purchases. Telling the truth about your experience with a product doesn't call for having your post deleted. I didn't read the thread, but it sounds innocent to me, from what was said here. I'm sure there is probably more to it. Ive found the moderators to be very fair in their decisions to delete something, but EVERYBODY can make a mistake, even moderators. Being a super moderator doesn't make you super human or anything does it? JMHO

I'd be more than happy to share my opinion of three major brands. However, they won't be good and the moderators have asked once for no one to publicly talk badly about a manufacturer's product. If there are going to be rules then everyone needs to play by them.

OK, there are a couple of things going on concerning this thread. I'm taking this opportunity to explain publicly what the actual issues are.

One, we ask that you do not complain about message board "moderation" publicly. It just calls out for cries of censorship and flaming as you can see here. PM me about any moderation you might take issue with and I'll address it.

Secondly, you can not post any personal attacks, against other members or companies. Persistant badmouthing a company is a personal attack, and simply stating IMHO afterwords does not make it right. Critiquing a product is OK, and encouraged. This can be valuable research for manufacturers and helps make products better for all of us.

But there is a fine line between constructive criticism and a company attack. As is the case of personal attacks, its in the eye of the beholder. So remember, post kind constructive criticism only. You just have to be nice about it.

Now as far as the post in question in the "Spider Rig Rod Holders" thread. The post might not have been so terrible, but the same thing certainly could have been said a lot nicer. And it had another strike against it. It had implied a foul language word by the use of #^&*%$# in a sentence. You may see this occasionally, but it is not allowed. Sorry, it's just not family friendly posting.

Please review the "Site Rules" above and realize that these are rules we all agreed to when we joined. Thanks for listening, and have a great day.
