I use moccasins so I can slip up on the fish.
Flipped flops for me. Sperry's in winter. Then rubbers. For trailering. In winter.
Oops, it was an old thread but I was searching for info on shoes. Thanks for the feedback. Anyone use crocs? I like them but they wear out quickly.
They are tough to chew but fried not bad. You can also sell their skin for some good money to finance your fishing. The ones I have made into boots have lasted years.

This thread is HILARIOUS!!!
Next time you’re at the boat ramp, go up to someone you don’t know and ask “”what kind of shoes are you wearing””.
See how fast he gets loaded up and gets away from you. Lol

I volunteer to bump this thread in 2027, 2034, and 2042. After that, you’re on your own.
I wear crocs alot on my boat and they do wear out after a year or so. They're bad on a moss covered ramp though I've laid down rather quickly beside the boat several times Sent from my SM-J337U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app

Yep, you hit a small patch of moisture on a smooth surface with some crocks on, your either going to hit the deck quickly, or do the splits, one or the other...OH ya, don't wear crocks to a foot Dr's appointment either, They despise them...

I prefer, for safety purposes, a full-cover slip-on or Velcro fastened type shoes. To me it lessens a chance of foot injuries from fish, knives, hooks, stubbed toes, stumbles, etc., and are easy to remove if an overboard emergency arises.
