I have had several people tell me they had knot problems when tieing to a leader the knot wouldn't hold that is to say the lines slipped apart.
They need to tie a double uni-knot to use leader with Nanofil. I have not had issues with it, other than wrapping around my tip a lot more than mono.

Last summer I put a spool full of 6# (.005 diameter) on one of my ultralights and had nothing but trouble. My little jigs did not provide enough tension for a decent wrap on the spool, resulting in line digging into loose coils on the spool and then giving a jerky release on drag runs. That cost me one of the potentially best sized fish of my summer. I took it back to the shop for a refund. Others had less problems when they only used maybe 50 or 60 feet as a topping over regular mono backing. At the same or even slightly larger diameter both Sufix and GAMMA copolymers were limper and wrapped better on the spool, besides being easier to knot and less likely to fray. This line must be fished, cast and retrieved under a distinct amount of tension to perform well. IMO this stuff is vastly overrated.

I "would not recommend this to a friend.'

Jumping in late, and seem to be the exception here. I love the stuff and have replaced all the other line on my sticks with it. It isn't going to be best for everything, but about all I do is pitch and cast jigs for crappie. No trolling, spider rigging, etc. I use the 4# and 6# lines for crappie. Casts a mile, and has better low tension feel than any of the other braids and superlines I've tried. Also handles as good or better than most. It's weakness is knot strength, not line strength. You simply won't straighten many hooks with the 4#, and it will break at the knot with time if you don't retie. That said, I've started adding a fluorocarbon leader and that solved the problem. The 6# line is pretty stout. It's been pulling double duty on my finesse bass sticks and I've now caught somewhere around 400 bass (up to 4#) this fall with the stuff and haven't had a single line break - OK, well actually once, but it was my fault for horsing a fish with the trolling motor on high - a freak thing Now, my only wish is that they come out with a flame green version of this line in 2012 !!!

Tried it , recycled it . Use Seaguar Kanzen best braid I have ever used . Superior casting , super smooth and quiet , great line management , excellant abrasion resistance , super knot strength , no wind knots , no tip wrapping , no fading or bleeding of color , doesn't absorb water . Great price .
