I usually stop when hunting season starts, but this year I am trying to do some year round fishing. I didn't realize how good fall crappie fishing could be, and I may find it hard to start back hunting
Year around here too, with a bit of a gap between docks off and safe ice. Also some gaps for other fish, but mostly it's crappies. Admittedly fewer outings in winter, though.

Get Da Net! :D
We will use the boat till the ice gets too thick to get it in the water. Then the ice shack comes out. Use that till ice out and then start all over again. IT JUST NEVER ENDS!!!

I think it ended last weekend. Boats were removed from the water on Monday. I can fish from the shore or dock but that's not nearly as much fun (nor productive...funny how those two things go hand-in-hand).
I fish them year round here in East LA (Eastern Lower Alabama)

My season ends when the 300lb hillbilly gets the Christmas decorations down out of the attic. She has so many boxes and totes that it is impossible to get the boat out of the garage. Plus as she empties a container, where does it go? In the boat of course. But the bright side is that right after the first of the new year, all the stuff is back in the attic and I can get the boat again just in time for winter Crappie and Sauger fishin.
Never ends.
