Welcome, and ya need to check in on the Florida forum as suggested. We have a slabfest coming up on 12/3 at Lake Dora, they are alot of fun and a good bit of info is passed around. A few of us are meeting Sunday on Lake Monroe if ya want to venture over.

Good luck. There are alot more ways to fish than drifting minnows though. Dont get dead set on that method, it hasnt worked that great for me down here. Longlining or fishing directly over brush seems to be better for me than just drifting and hoping you stumble across some fish.

Thanks for the invite to the slabfest and also the advice on fishing. The slabfest sounds like a great time and we would love to come! I saw the signup on what to bring. I'll talk it over with my boyfriend (Terry) and sign up with something this weekend. CrappieGirl... how is crappie fishing on the Harris chain? We are excited to go fishing this weekend and we just bought a used travel trailer and plan to camp in some good crappie spots too. Terry and I have both worked worked worked (who hasn't right?) and now we are going to have some fun... lol. At least on the weekends. Thanks again to everyone.

My end, Lake Beauclaire, Dora, Carlton, a little slow, your best bet is Monroe right now. They have been hauling them in over there.
