Buy a boat!
I appreciate everyone's input and I have to say so far I am using Berkley minnows and I am having some success. I have fished for bass and walleye and of course bluegill..But when I caught my first crappie I was hooked and wanted to learn how to catch more of these......so now that it is getting colder and I dont have a boat..How would be the best way to catch more fish?

Urban, not sure where your from in Illinois,I'm out of Park Ridge near Ohare airport. I belong to a Fishing club Arlington Anglers and we have a fall open event on Clinton Lake Clinton Illinois. The event is open to anyone that wants to attend its not a tournament just a club outing. We mainly fish Crappie but also target Walleye and Bass. There are spots available on a few boats if needed and also boat rentals available. We all share information about whats working and where so we all catch fish. We camp on a private site that is only open to our club and guests Camp Quest. The fee for camping is $5.00 a night Saturday night we have a club fish fry and Sunday morning we have a club breakfast. We pass the hat for these two for a small donation. Its a great group of guys and its always a good time. Please feel free to contact me if you would care to join us. Again anyone is Welcome just let me know.
