I still got one. Never crappie fished with it though.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

Had 8 of em and 7 were stolen while paying for gas. I used em for bass, redfish, and trout. Great reels for the $25.00 I was getting them for at Bass Pro years ago. No nonsense reels that were strong as an ox.

Very cool, way to make the issue known to Shimano. I own several of the older Stradics and love them. I also own several Plueger Presidents for my ultra light and ice fishin rods.

X2. I used to tournament fish, and the Shimano reels ALWAYS outlasted the other brands I used. Even back in the Areo series of reels. I own several of the Symetre reels now that are 5/6 years old, and though I don't use them as much as I used to, they have worked flawlessly for me. I'm definitely NOT an expert, so maybe I missed something, but I haven't had ANY problems with mine.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.

No more shibindo for me. Not because of the plastic bushing that swells when wet and causes several different models of spinning reels to bind, but because the completely inane customer service department. I use to use shimano exclusively but after trying to get the bushing replaced (just need the part) or the reels exchanged to no avail. I even paid shipping both ways multiple times, just to have the reels returned (not even cleaned/serviced) stating that their was nothing wrong or their was nothing they could do about the reel.

Besides bicycle parts will always be Shimano's focus, fishing is a side business with them.

What reel are you referring to?
Good things come to those who bait.

This is a huge problem on the Saharas.

Every one of these new reels have the newly designed bail trip they introduced in the Ci4 Stradic, and it is one of the best bail trips I have used. In fact, every reel I handled from as low as $30 felt better than any Shimano I have ever held. In short - Shimano is BACK!! The years of technological advancements and mature designs have finally really come together. I was amazed at the perfection of every reel I handled. I haven't used and abused any of them yet, but my first impression really have me interested in them again. Woohoo!
What Shimano reels have you found that are new?? They are not coming out with their new reels until September.....the Sustain and the Stradic. Any reels you have found have been out for quite a while now with the exception of the Stella and they changed it last year. The Sedona...Sahara and the Saros are the same as they have been for several years now. Just curious which reels you are talking about.

    Regards

I've read a lot on other sites about the binding problems. My Shimanos have always been flawless. When they dropped the spare spool with their new reels, though, I started buying Daiwas.
