Jump seat is the seat beneath the overhead slide door (SUN ROOF) on an A3D. The sun roof is the escape hatch if the launch from a carrier goes amuck and you go in the drink. Carrier launches and landings are a real gig. You can really get an adrenaline rush on carrier launch but you really suck up seat during landings especially during rough seas. I loved it. I still got my cahunna wings somewhere. ha

Now you know the rest of the story. Jimfish and DonG knows what I am talking about. Probably more.

I called it a jump seat because you can fold it down and jump over it. It is the third seat between the two tuck and roll seats. Gives you a seat for a third person on the bench.

You nailed it jimp. The center base is for one person up front, and the other two are for 2 up front. You didn't jack the thread, sometimes we need a little reminding about what NOT to do, and how to treat our customers. A bad sales person is a pain for every one, including the good sales people. Thanks, Bill
