I don't spend a dime. I consider my fishing as an investment. Cheaper than a therapist.

As I'm new to the sport I spend probably $15-25 a trip. I'm still trying to get all the jigs and stuff I need.

my only expense during the summer months is minnows, which i buy 2 pounds at a time and keep in my tank at home. i usually use around 1/4 pound per fishing trip. during the times i use jigs i rarely lose one as i fish relatively shallow reservoirs and/or ox-bow lakes, and when i get snagged i just ease the rod tip down to the jig and pop it loose.

    $5-10

about $5 a day for lost jigs/heads on a jig day
about $10 a day for minners and terminal tackle on a minner day

i mold my own lead stuff
    i freeze my own ice
    i brew my own beer

if i could just figure out how to make gasoline, i'd be all set
    God bless America

Hard to determine, depends on how many baits get hung up on stumps and or limbs and those occasional big bass or catfish or drum that bite the line.

I kayak fish so my only gas is my truck to get me to the lake and maybe a can of beanieweenies and snicker bar to fuel the kayak. I loose maybe 1 or 2 jigs a day cause I use PP braid. In the last 10 trips trolling I've only lost one Bandit. I'm a pretty cheap date. Now we don't even want to talk about how much we have invested in rods, reels, tackle, boats and clothes in case our wives should happen to stumble across this site.
