same speeds as pulling.....anywhere from 1.2 mph to 2 mph.
What speed do you normally put your crankbaits?

I'm new to the crankbaits for crappie but in my limited experience, it seems I get better hook-ups at around 1.7. I started using that speed because Wally Marshall and Kent Driscoll used that speed on their videos. If I drop down below 1.5, it seems I lose more fish. I'm running 200 and 300 Bandits.
New to the trolling game, but caught a bunch this weekend on 2 separate trips running mostly either side of 2.0 (1.7-2.4 mph). Since I'm still learning, I was using a single pole and would frequently drop back and pause the bait when I was moving through a school, and that seemed to trigger a lot of bites.
I'm running a similar jon boat (1648 w/50# MK), but did all my trolling this weekend by idling with the "big" engine (9.9 Merc 4-stroke).

1.4-2, the sweet spot is usually 1.7
