    See, I'm not even sure I know the difference between all these words. I really need a basic, yet in-depth crappie education so as to figure what might work best for me.

    Meat you know you had rather vertical jig than spider rig. You make one of the best jigs around!!!

    As much as I like pullin cranks, my favorite two ways to catch em are spider riggin, and jig fishin. In reverse order. ;-)

    Thanks Guys for all your help. I asked this question because I'm developing a Crappie Academy. Its a 3-hour intensive course taught by some of the top professional crappie tournament anglers and guides. The course will cover some of the hottest techniques in crappie fishing. This will take place November 12, 2011 at Angler's Day Out, a fishing show held in Forrest City, AR. More info to come. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP.
