Now I'll find out how well I like a bass boat.

BTW, My little Tacoma pickup pulls it just fine with the 2.7L four cylinder.

    A couple of updates ....

I towed the Stratos a little over 100 miles yesterday, and got 19.8 mpg towing. The little 2.7 motor gets into a sweet spot towing in 3rd at about 65-70 and does extremely well.

I had some upgrades done too.

    Keel Guard (no pics)

Garmin 531 GPS and Humminbird 570 mounted side by side on console

Flush Mount rod holders (for trolling)

2 more rod holders on rear deck

And I had a step made to replace the center seat. The black center peice is rubber with a diamond treadplate pattern.
I wish he had made it a storage box, with a lid, but it was so cheap I can't complain.

Any of you in the Granbury Texas area (Fort Worth), and need boat work done, contact Mike at J & M PowersportsBoat customizing - Home. He does good work, and works cheap.

Very very nice Warhawk. Think you'll be pleased with that 4banger Taco. I pulled an 18 foot Crestliner with mine for years and then gave it to my son for college after it had over 100k miles on it. Only time I had any problem was getting up out of a steep ramp and then it was just a matter of revving the RPM's up a little. Great looking boat. Next one I buy I think I'll hire you to find it for me

I've had several Toyota pickups over the years. The early ones had a 2.4 liter 4 cyl, this one has a 2.7 that is a huge improvement. Best of all I'm getting 24-26 mpg with it.

It's turned out to be a nice boat. I haven't had the first problem with it yet. I've never had a 2 stroke outboard that runs as clean as this one, you can idle around for half an hour and romp on it and it won't miss a beat. Doesn't use much gas at all, or oil.

The Humminbird 570 locator is great, I like it so well that I bought a 570 DI to mount up front.

The Garmin GPS works fine and is easy to use, but I'm a little disappointed in their map software. I'm finding that contour lines on the maps are quite a bit off on my local lakes. I need to get out on one of the bigger resvoirs and see how it it does there.

The Tacoma continues to impress me. Still getting 24-25 mpg with it, and it tows the boat just fine.
