Actually, if you get the wires where you can pull them all the way out you can fix them. Take the wireform all the way out, mix up some j-b weld, place in the hole, and press the wireform back in the holes. This will actually hold better than the weld. Your replacement holders are on the way though. I will see if I can track today and see what the problem is.

blue, i will guarantee that i or any good welder could fix them in 10 min and they would never break again. as many holders as the company has made some are bound to fail. the man offered to make things right. send the bad ones to me and i'll fix them and fish with them. evidently he's going to give you new ones so you won't need those.

Blueball, I'd like to suggest an alternative way to handle similar issues in the future.

Typically, a person with a grief would contact the seller first and give them a chance to make things right. If they don't, I could understand a complaint post. If they do make things right, you'd have a choice to either make a pro-customer service post or sit back and be happy that your problem is solved.

You probably would have learned during this initial conversation that the production technique had changed and could have passed that along in your complaint/compliment post to help inform other users.

    x2

Another thing is suppose we were on a different forum Web site that Scott wasn't on, and you just flamed pissed off. Scott would have had no way of fixing the situation. His product would have been diminished based mostly on gossip instead of hard facts as to the nature of his product development and business practices.

We live in a new era where the customers can talk directly with a product's designer, developer and Chief Pencil Pusher.

styme, this post wasnt started as a complaint post,it was to inform people with this style to check ur welds if u were using them to pull cranks 90 deg from the sides of your boat.i figured scott would make it right, but he really didnt have to ,i would have ordered the updated ones no matter if they where free or not.i already knew the production technique had changed ,so their wouldnt have been nothing to learn on my end,i am just trying to save someone from losing a pole.maybe i will just call u and let u handle it next time lol
