yeah they are the old style, own 8 new style and 12 old style.things have got worse, when i checked the others on the water it was in the mid 90 and i just visually inspected them.i just went to get the boat ready for tomorrow morning and was gonna adjust everything just alittle bit and 2 more holders are broke, cracked welds also wiggled them back and forth for a couple minutes and they broke too.that makes 3 broke holders now and have only side pulled with them probally 20 times, not looking good, will update pics later

here an updated pic, guess they cant take the pressure of side pulling crankbaits.the one that broke on the water broke all the way by itself, the other two had cracked welds and i wiggled them back and forth real hard for a minute and they came apart tooDoh

I've only used my hi teks for spider rigging. How do you orient yours for pulling cranks and/or jigs?

I've sold and tried em all. Give me the TL's for spider rigging OR pullin ( I use a star washer instead of the pin washer that comes with them, tighten em down good and you have unlimited sideways adjustment ) The DM's for the side pullin rails. I do like the HT' s though. Sold a bunch of em, but not the new style. I'll have to order some of the new ones. Hope they have a higher side to pull with, and the rods not bounce out when you leave em in the holder to move short distances with the main engine on rough days.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.

these arnt much over two years old i believe, the newer stlye came out right after i bought my first set(i own 6 sets of hitek rod holders and have a fishfinder monted on a hitek riser),i figured scott will see this ,but wanted everyone to know to check theirs because the last couple fish i caught my pole would almost jump out of the holder and i`m glad i didnt lose a pole ,but it was close.i have hittek stickers on my truck and boat and i think he still makes a good product ,but with the old style u better keep a check on the welds if u pull cranks 90 deg off the sides
