Prayers lifted for you....I hope you continue to heal and improve.....just do what the doc's say and you will be fishing before too long.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Yeps, RR...these folks are giving you good advice. Don't hurry things and cause more problems.
Keep on doing what your drs tell you, and things will work out fine. My brother had that surgery
at the age of 75, and he did great...but he did not rush back to a lot of activities. Anyone who
can log after 6 weeks is a superman...not a normal guy! (And certainly not in his 70s!) Good luck
with your recovery ! Fall crappie should be your goal !

Hey Rocket, glad to hear that the recovery is going as well as it is. I'm probably like you in that I'm anxious to get back to what I WANT to do long before I'm done with what I NEED to do. Heal first, aggravate us all you want in the meantime, and fish later. I had lower back surgery in 94 and I know what you talk about with discomfort while trying to sleep. I slept in a recliner one night, and couldn't sleep at all the next, then in the bed for a few days and then that didn't work anymore. Just do the best you can and try to be patient, It's all waiting for you when the time is right. God bless and prayers sent from my house to yours.

Well Guys and Gals, I'm doing okay in that I'm 71 yrs old and out of surgery for 3 weeks. Now this morning we noticed that one of the cuts on the right leg is leaking something?? You'd think after 3 weeks the wounds would be closed?? I've been a good boy since the surgery and have not done anything that My wife ( who's a RN) said I wasn't able to do. Well we shall see??? Thanks for all the prayers.

rich, if you are "leaking" something you better call your surgeon or dr and let him deal with it. and i didn't think you were older than me. you've not been telling me the truth. i know you look older so maybe you are.
