WOW!! 2kan, that's a wild story, a Great Dane huh, heck I'de have to get a bigger boat to carry a dog that big, and she sounds like she can take pain preet darn good.

I CAN carry her in either of my boats, but she's not a fan....she's very aware of her (lack of) swimming abilities! She typically only goes on my bank/wade fishing outings.

Pain-wise she's a champ and always has been.....I've heard her yelp like once or twice in 8 years, but it makes it hard when she does hurt herself as she doesn't show it and I always just come across the injury. The latest (month ago) we were out camping. The fire popped and a few moments later I noticed a red coal on her hind quarter....just smoldering on her skin as she naps. She now has a 1/2" wide bald spot there.
