I use a Rapala. It works very well and has a nice carry case with cutting board.

Switched from manual fileting to electric last year. Got an American Angler 110v from Walmart. So far, so good. Bit of a learning curve for me, but it's the way to go.

If you go with the American Angler, check out this thread about the blades.

I have used Mister Twister for years and have had good luck with them.

The only down fall is they tend to get a little warm if you use them for an extended period. Just my experience with them though.

I have a Mister Twister that is over 20 years old and still works fine after many thousands of fillets.

My Mister Twister crapped out in less than a year. Now I use a cheap Black and Decker a year or so---throw it away and go buy a new one.

I have a rapala, I like the fact that it is 12 volt. With house, boat and truck adapters makes it very versatle. even comes with a case and cutting board.
Not sure of cost, got it for Christmas 2 yrs ago.
