Memorial Day is a remembrance of both our father's service in WWII.
MY father's glass eye was a daily reminder in my house growing up. He never complained. (1912-1983)
My father-in-law survived the Bataan Death March, and spent 4 years in a Japanese POW camp. He never complained in the 10 years I knew him. (1916-1978)
Both are now gone, but definitely not forgotten. RIP William and Wayne.
Fly your flags and bow your heads folks. Remember those that paid the ultimate price, they deserve our respect.
