How often do you replace the line on your reels? I always pull off about 20-30 feet and retie my terminal ends before I head out on each trip that leads me to replace my line every other year.
I got to wondering how often do other anglers replace their mono?
If vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what's baby oil made from?

Every other leap year
Really once a year, I should probably do it more
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
About 3-5 times a year depending upon which reel and pole I use. I do have 5-7 different poles in the boat each time I go out which is 5-6 days a week. I buy the line in the large bulk spools and they last 2 years.
As little as possible. I'm lazy.
Once a year. In the early spring.
I love HIM because HE first loved me.
Usually once a year, but I am replacing all my reels that have P-Line, it just has too much memory and a little too stiff for me.
I totally respool my 3 main crappie reels at least 3 times per year. Often 5 times depending on where I might be fishing. We have a lot of zebra mussels in the lakes I fish and they really tear up the line. I peel off 20 or 30 feet each trip but that only lasts a few trips then it is time to respool.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
I knew it. I don't fish enough! I need to fish more to justify replacing my line more often.

Having lost a trophy fish to old/bad line, I reline a lot. Four to five times a year on the rods I use the most and at least twice a year on everything else.
