Blow'n the levees may help us up here a little. May make it worse downstream though.

They may have knocked about 3' off our crest in Paducah with that move.

Best you pack up some of the good things asap and get them on higher ground.

Hello .... I live on the Iowa,WI border just about 4 blocks from the Mississippi. Thow its all up hill so I don't have to worry about the river in as far as it getting onto my property. Have a lot of friends that aren't so lucky though. Up here the river still has a small raise to it yet before it crests this week, you still have a lot of water to come down your way yet. Good luck and be safe. STEVE

This morning, Patoka and Monroe Res. in southern Indiana went over their emergency spillways, so the Army Corps of Engineers opened the dams wide open too,,Lots of high water heading in the rivers to Ohio River and Miss. from southern Indiana, and we are flooded but not a record by anymeans,,record on the 2 lakes tho for high water going over spillways.

Reelfoot Lake is out of the banks. They are talkin of a mandatory evacuation in samburg. I rode down yesterday and looked lake drive is under water. Cypress Point Resort sandbagged up the doors, walls, etc. It is getting nasty. This is going to hurt all the resorts for there income from the crappie spawn fishin. Right now crappie are running up and down the highways. Probley even spawning in some mailboxes. It is a sight to see down there. All jokes aside it is heart breaking for all the people involved in the floods. Here last year on May 1st and 2nd is when all the rains came and flooded south town in dyersburg tn. Its crazy that on the same exact days a year later what is happening and much worse. I kinda think the man up above might be giving us a sign of some sort here.
