    only 1 to buy ( Richter 18# ) had mine for 4 years and love it Even on days of 25 mph winds just put out a little more rope

    Using a chain or "rhode" definitely improves the hold.

    I had trouble with my boat too. I found out I wasn't letting out enough rope. As soon as I give it more rope, my anchors worked fine. catfan has the right idea...
