I wouldn't worry about it. The adjustability of the PT-35 coupled with the different mounting heights on your outboard will give you more options than you have currently. You'll probably find that you can set your motor higher OR lower than you can now. Plus, the CMC unit allows you to have negative trim where the motor is tucked in, giving you faster planing times. Just adjust your trim once you're on plane. Additionally, the setback on the T&T unit will allow you to set the motor an inch or two over your current set-up.

The folks at CMC suggest the PT-130 for heavier 25 hp. motors (3 cyl. Suzukis, 3 cyl. Yamahas, etc.). The complaints I've heard from parts failures come from duck hunters who use the unit like a breakaway plate as well as T&T and most of those failures are coming with the PT-35. The 130 is a stronger unit.

I ordered the pt 35. Gonna need my Jon boat as the Ky lake is on the rise and I gotta get my War Eagle off the boat dock lift. Water will be a foot over my dock come Friday. COE is spilling a lot of water into Ky Lake and letting minimum out at the Ky Lake Dam. Here we go again. Looks like another month shot........
