I like a little breeze. Keeps my butt from sticking to the vinyl.
Just wanted to get some opinions/pros and cons of what you think wind does for you crappie fishing.
Be honest, I cant stand fighting wind no matter what type of fishing im doing. Up until just a few months ago I hated wind. The past month or so though it seems that windy days have been a lot more productive for me crappie fishing. What do you think fellas??????? Do you like it at certain times of year perhaps.

I've never cared for the wind. But, I've caught many crappie in the wind. Maybe that is why they call it "crappie chop"
Yeah, I like it. Not real strong but a little chop is okay. It can be hard on boat control.
A light breeze is good. I never caught many crappie
under a dead calm except at night. But significant
wind keeps me off the water. Guntersville and Wheeler
kick up whitecaps quickly with just a few MPH wind.
Too risky for a kayak, not to mention it's just no fun.
I had a day ( and the ohio fellas prolly remember it, Saturday the 12th of this month) the wind blew over 30mph all day. It produced a lot of fish that day and they were shallow in that choppy water............ Next day hardly any wind hardly any fish.
No wind is a bad day.
Take you kids fishing today!!! They will be grown (and married and have children of their on) tomorrow. Then you can take your GRANDKIDS!

Love a little wind......like the way it works the bobber for me!! Too much wind and I'm back at the house.
To were you can almost hear it slappy the front of the boat with a gust now and then.
