Like most things in life, it depends. Speaking about the EGO coated nylon vs the EGO rubber. Teh coated nylon one has more water resistance, is lighter but the holes in the net do not expand. So...if you're spider rigging with say a 1/2 ounce weight, the weight will not slip through and tangle like the rubber one will. However, with crankbaits the rubber is superior since slip though is not a concern. Then again, it is possible to snag the hooks in the coated one where the hook bites the material and goes to the barb. The coating helps to prevent this but it's not fool proof. Also, the nylon is slightly lighter and easier to handle if you're fishing by yourself.
I decided to go with the Nylon Coated one and matter of fact, it's supposed to be here in the next hour or so.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Thanks for the info Keith. Do you have a link to the site i can get it from?
Rubber nets are much heavier. They don't get hooks or fins tangled like regular string web nets.

Try spraying the net several times with spray on rubber coating, to seal the weave, I've done this and it helps keep the hooks from getting caught.

Get the rubber net! Once you get use to it you will love it!

Tried both in the last couple years. The nylon was terrible on my jigs. Kept getting them caught in the net so i ordered a rubber. A little heavy and somehow the bucket in the bottom tore. Might have been from a big cat i caught while crappie fishing. Cant repair it so i'm looking for something new this year.
