When I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations I have a good day
This spring i am going to try mixing olive oil and garlic powder, then soaking my plastic jigs in them
and seeing if that works. It would be a cheap scent thing. Also thought about garlic and
vaseline, again mixing the two, may be a stretch but it's a thought.

I think that scent wiggler would be good if you pinched off the first segment and then fished the remainder on a 1/16 jighead
They were made to break apart and use as a trailer type lure. I have used them whole, by themselves and caught good numbers of fish with them. The transparent green one, not sure the name of the color, have put fish in the boat.
I can't say if it works for crappie, but if you want garlic scent, try JJ's Magic. Be warned, it's strong stuff! Be sure to keep it cool (i keep it in the ice chest in a little sealed container) and DO NOT spill it in your boat!
I'm looking forward to trying the glow ones this coming weekend, I'll give a report afterwords.
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
