they are making their annual spring migration. had a bunch here in the front yard today too.
Cool. Never seen that many together either.
Black birds? My fondest memory is Texas, i think it was fall, seemed like thousands were eating the marginal bird seed i had for the finches. Whiled away the evening popping them with a pellet gun. Every now and then I would send the dogs out to scatter them. Finally went in to eat dinner. Looking out the window and all of a sudden thousands went in every direction...except one. a hawk came down with the sun on his tailfeathers and caught him a dinner.
Flew off with that thing in his talons.
Was one of the coolest things I ever saw.

Send one of those robots out there with a bag of bread and see what happens.
Wow! My mother inlaw had 30-40 robins in her yard last week.
Oops.:o I was going to say I wouldnt park under that tree.....:D:D:D
All those robins is a sure sign that spring is very near....and a welcome site to see too. I have been seeing some the past couple days too.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Someone told them that the buffet was at your house. I hope that everyone's on the mark about spring being around the corner, I'm tired of driving in the mess. I was in Nebraska years ago and looked out in a field and something was off, but I couldn't figure out what. Finally something moved and I figured out that the field was gray instead of harvested field brown. Hundreds of Sandhill Cranes were resting in the field, it was quite a sight. My Jimmy needs washed too, same reason.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Looks like GUMBO to a South Louisiana boy....
We just thought we had a lot of Robins...

I have a half barrel of water on the deck for the squirrels and birds. It was invaded by robins one January morning and then they were gone. Have not seen them since.
