For slip bobber and jigs I was using 4lb. but with my bumble fingers tying was a pain. So I switched to 6lb.
I use 10lb. for long linin'
I only fish The Coon cause that's where I keep my toon.
1 lb diameter 5lb strength Power Pro and equal or less diameter and strength Fireline for casting with cheap wally world mono as leader material. For slip corks, I use 4lb Mr Crappie Camo line.

i like the vicious panfish mono 4-8lbs my self but currently using trileen XL 4lbs and MR.crappie 8lbs hoping to get back to the vicious though
