    I was thinking mod. v. Had people say the wind catches the bow of the vee's more where they stick up.Probably just using it in smaller water I have a 21ft. center console maycraft I use salt water fishing.

    You mean like this one? I don't think the wind is any bigger issue with this boat, versus a 17 foot Jon boat with a 7 foot beam.

    I have a 18 and a half ft. G3 modified V.....I love it.

    if you're fishing into the wind, i'd take the v no doubt. if you're not, neither one w/o a drift sock.

    Depends on where you fish. I have a modified v (G3 17 foot) and it lends itself well to most of my fishing situations. But sometimes I wish I also had a small jon for those lakes around here that are really small.

    Deep V for wide open deep water and a mod-v or jon for smaller (protected) tight water. All depends how and where you fish.
