Yeah the new Do-It catalog is finally starting to circulate. Word on the streets about the hook is that it's a proprietary design. No word on who they have contracted for the job. And the hooks aren't ready yet apparently.
No point in even thinking about the Wacky mold until they are.

VMC makes a reverse sickle hook, I think they call it the Barbarian, never tried them though. Probably too heavy wire for crappie fishing around brush.

It is a Mustad hook I will be making them shortly as soon as my venders get some in stock I have some sample hooks now and there working out pretty good shooting docks cant wait until spring to try them out long linning.I dont know if its a better hook but I think it may be as good as the sickle the circle part of the hook sets back further then the sickle so there saying less fish lost.If anyone is intrested I will take some per orders but can tell you there not going to be cheap my price is going to run me 35.00 to 45.00 thousand its just like last year when the sickles went to 40.00 thousand and now you can get them for 20.00 this hook will come down in price when the new wears off I hope anyways. So My price for 100 hooks is going to run 16.00 hundred plus shipping and the sickle hooks are 12.00 hundred plus shipping. My e-mail is [email protected]

    thanks james

Try the guy who posted above your post..."bugman from MO"..You won't be disapointed.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

Now I'm confused. James, can you post a pic of this "new sickle hook". I don't have the catalogue and the do-it website doesn't have a new hook mentioned that is anything like a sickle hook.
