If you got it for $100 it's prob a Premier or a Mojo. Those blanks are St Croix's lowest blanks. They are good, but won't compare to $200+ GL blanks or the better St Croix's.
Good things come to those who bait.

Probably; but I picked up a 6' ML 1 piece Avid at Gander (clearanced) for $100 2 years ago.

    Dongoto,
There is another rod company that had asked several of the top rod builders advice. But I cant remember the name off hand. My cousin is a rod builder and he has one and he loves it. It is a high dollar blank and would have to be built. If you might be interested I will call him for the details.

I wonder if it's Northfork Composite? I think the founder of Loomis rods has something to do with this company and they only sell raw blanks. I've looked into that, but to have one built would cost as much as a loomis.

Gary did start Northfork after selling to shimano, but it is not his blank but very close to it. I will contact my cousin tomorrow and I will let you know. Im thinking the blank itself was 130 but im just guessing, Im getting to old to remember anymore. We always have been loomis fans, but this rod is the first one my cousin picks up. I will also check with him, he might have a rod that he might sell you that is comparable. We are picky about what rods we use.

The only thing I will add to this is the warranty and I have a bass worm rod that is a Glummis IMX and I bought it because I was looking for a 7' rod with a particular set of lure weight on the low and high end and action. It was the only one I found and cost an arm and a leg coming in at that time $315.

One day having trouble with my rail system for launching my boat and one wheel got off the track and I had to climb in over the front to get in and try to fix my problem. Just so happened that this rod was laying there and when I rolled over into the boat I rolled on top of that rod and broke it. They didn't ask or care how it broke, I paid shipping and they replaced it and buy this time the rod cost $345. Not a lot of rod companies don't care how it broke and replace them, but they do for lifetime.

That all by it self is or can be a big deal IMHO,

The warranty is still the same, it is the expedite service that has changed

The warranty used to have a 50 dollar, no questions asked, option if I recall correctly. Local tackle shop told about the change this past Spring due to some abuses of the old service.

Found the Loomis link to the new no fault charge.

And this link about the recent change.
