I heard through the grape vine that Wally was parting ways with BPS effective Jan 1.....I also heard that he will be coming out with his own products after the first of the year and plans to have some rods in the mix.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Most outdoor stores carry clothing, why? There's a 300% markup on clothing and related items.

I was just in the Springfield, Mo. store yesterday and made the same comment to my wife. I also thought a lot of the areas were very dimly lit. walked around about 30 minutes and left.

I went to the BPS at Memphis and it was nice. All the country people in the Memphis area were at BPS. I guess Santa really pulls them in. Clothing was over 3/4 of the store. A pair of Wrangler boots for my 4 year old were over 100 dollars! The prices on the equipment were about twice what you would pay at a decent bait shop.

Wal mart used to have the low price guarantee, seems like after Sam passed the American products went away and so did the low pricing. BPS and all the big chains negotiate the volume low dollar buy's with the vendors so why not pass it on to us?
