Those are some good looking fish. Looks like they been buried up in some grass. When we catch fish out of grass down here in MS they are usually real dark. Any Hydrilla underneath that clear water?

Beautiful pics of the lake... and man those are some fine lookin' slabs... but it left me curious and wanting more info.
What's the air temperature like in Maine this time of year? What was the water temperature like this time of year? Were you fishing jigs or minnows (or both)? Were you tightlining, vertical jiggin' or longlining? How deep were you catchin' them? How many did you end up with that day? What is "the bite" like at this time of year up there?

I promise I am not likely to go to Maine from North Carolina... as much as I might love to. I am really just curious to hear about the conditions and tactics of crappie fishing everywhere.
I understand that some people are just "tight lipped" about what they are doin' too.... If that's the case... I respect that too.
    Again, Great job!!! Awesome pics!!!

I was much better looking in my younger years. It's the women that did this to me.
