What an idiot. Glad no one got hurt. That was some quick thinking on the fire extinguisher!!
Good job dad!!
him climbing aboard your boat uninvited and advancing in a threatening manner would be the same as him coming in your house uninvited wouldnt it?fire away....
listen with your eyes---its the only way to beleive what you hear...

We can all say that we would have shot him or his boat, and we all definately would like to. But the fact of the matter is he had his son with him and handled it superbly. The boy was shaken up as it was, could you imagine if there had been a dead guy laying on front of his dad's boat? Great job, hopefully we can all practice the same restraint you did.

I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, these days HE would likely have more rights than you and your son.Originally Posted by rango

good example for all us and all the kids!!hope i could be that cool!! withya kid their like that i'd be scared my restrait might amount to shootin em 5 times insteed of six!
What a great story. I never would have thought about the fire extinguisher but you can bet that I'll remember that if ever needed. Of course, after spraying someone, having a handgun would be a very good idea. With my 25hp I ain't outrunning nobody.
...and this too shall pass.
I wonder why the game warden up and left when the trouble started. Even if he was off duty, the ones around here are always armed and in their G&F trucks. Kind of peculiar or maybe i read it wrong.

You handled it well. But it's a good thing you had a witness in that other boat cause this guy might have gone back to the landing after the incident, called the law and told them you were the perpetrator by shooting him with a fire extinguisher and threatening him with a gun. Things could have gotten turned 180 without that witness, and you could be facing charges. Glad it all turned for the better.
Now who says crappie fishing isn't exciting?
Glad things worked out and congradulations for the world longest sentence.
Almost fell out of the chair on this one.....glad everything worked out for you and he got caught. BillyOriginally Posted by jigdragger
