Are you trying to keep 12V? If so you need to wire them in parallel.
Got a toon and rigging it for night fishing. Looking for enough battery power to last 12 hrs. Will 3 good batterys wired in series to the job, I plan on having 4 batterys onboard, but one will be my cranking battery. If they are wired in series, I should be able to recharge with one charger.Any help would be appreciated.

Just remember, it's going to take a lot longer to charge three batteries then one.

I would go with at least 2 marine batteries, three would be better. If you get a battery isolator,It only charges the low bat,I prefere them over the multipule pole chargers because at night you drain the bats and it is another heat sink to cool the charger during recharge. You can get by with a good HD waterproof charger(mount it ).Wire all acc to your marine circuit.Never hook anything to the run battery. If you run a Ford style solonoid between your marine and the run circuit, It is a quick way of getting power to your anchors or your run circuit in case of battery trouble.Don't need troubles at night.
