if you want a dock shooter, get a wm or a bnm sharpshooter, they're the best, its what they're made for, if you want a 7 ultralight stiff pole, get a esp.

I have 3 sharpshooters. Been using them for years. Best ultralite I have ever used. They are durable and I have caught some hoss fish on them too while crappie fishing. Have caught a 10 pound cat and an 8 pound bass on them and they have not broke yet. I will buy another one when and if I need one.CF

So do I. Here are three rods to consider:

    1) Falcon 5' ultralight - excellent backbone for a UL rod. Light and well-balanced.

    2) Shimano 5 or 5.5' Voltaeus - good backbone but with a soft tip. Designed by Shimano to compete with the Ugly Stik. Can't say if it's as strong as the Ugly, but it is much lighter.

    3) 4'9" or 5' Charlie Brewer slider rod - designed to cast small bass/crappie jigs AND it has a Tennessee handle. I have the 4'9" model.
