This reminds me of things I was told about the 20's and 30's.
The car owners could by Lead in soluble form to put in the gas tank to protect the valve seats and make the Gas stretch a bit.

Now we are trying to defeat Alcohol.
For all you guys with motors, RUN them OUT OF GAS before you shut them off. Chainsaws, out boards, stuff like that.

I wonder if: Why not put out an RFP to all Engine Mfg's to make a Diesel Replacement for everything on the road?

Convert it all to Diesel. (except those little motors) No more Gassers made or imported!
Diesel can be made from other stuff. Algae for one. Which is Environmentally friendly.
As an added benefit, it would take years to do all the vehicles in America which means employment!!! Good news there eh?

I do not understand the "logic" of pushing ethanol. Corn is a heavily subsidized crop and many farmers rake in windfall profits from the subsidies. Ethanol has caused the rise of gas by over a dollar per gallon and with minimum impact to foreign oil imports and the environment. We are being played like a flute.

I was told never to add seafoam or anything like alchol in this enthoal belend as it increases the problems. Better try to find pure gas and and I been told marine staybil. The branded stations carry enthnol , but some generic stations still have the real deal for now.

here in Louisville KY it's hard to find gas that doesn't have ethanol in it without driving out of the county. I use Seafoam and Sta-Bil and never had a problem ---yet!

There are a few stations in FL selling regular without ethanol. Runs about 5 cents a gallon more.

I also add seafoam, also run the carb's dry when it will be a couple of weeks between fishing.

All gasoline in this area has 10 per cent Ethanol. Knock on wood I havent had any problems with any vehicle or other motor including 2 boats. Time will tell if it is a real problem. N-west Ga. BB

There is only a hand full of stations that sell non-ethanol gas. Indiana has been E10 for years now. Everything but my truck gets sea foam. E15 will void outboard warranties. Im just wondering how soon will it be before all stations state wide have only E15. All stations changed almost over night when e10 came out. You can sure bet the politicians were buying stock in these plants, now the EPA is going to make them more millions. If you worked on wall street this would be called insider trading and the FTC would be right there, but if your a politician its called wise investing according to Reed in Nevada

my mechanic told me to use marine stabil and NOT run the gas out.....i have followed his advice with no problems.....and by the way, marine stabil is just double strength regular stabil
