Wannabe...v2.0
A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
THAT, sir, is the all but mythical "barn door" sized version, without a doubt! Wonder just how much BIGGER she could get? (What do you call one bigger than "barn door"?)
Wow that is truly a monster.
very nice fish, congrats!

Sorry I havent got back in here to answer a few of your questions. A friend of mine built a small lake approx 2 acres and asked me to bring some fish I catch from the Coosa River and stock his lake. I was against putting in Crappie but he insisted he wanted them. I caught Bass-B-Gill-Shellcracker-C-cats and brought by and put in his lake each time I caught any as it was on my way home. He had cut down 2 med.size oak trees and we managed to pull them into the upper end of lake. There were allredy small fingerling fish in this lake that came from a lake about a couple miles upstream on the small stream of water feeding his lake. I put 2 Crappie in that wted. 2 lbs at that time. I had permission to carry my G-Children fishing anytime. This fish was caught 3 yrs. after the initial stocking. We had caught several smaller that day. I measured the fish and took picture and released before it was stressed out. She had allresdy spawn out and I guessed about 4 lbs. Later that fall the owner called me to bring my Camera and new scales to check his Crappie he had caught. It was dead on 3 lbs. but was smaller than mine. I made his picture and his G-Son had at Funeral Home as he passed away later that year. Im allmost certain this was a White Crappie and was not a croosbreed of any type. I figure this fish was 5-6 yrs old at least. Both fish had the same overall appearance. I havent fished this lake since my friend passed away. BB
Great catch. If I catch one half that size next weekend, I will feel like it is a trophy. Congratulations! Sorry to hear about your friend. Life is good. Enjoy it while we can. Take care.
