I use an eagle 320 on my transom and a 480 on my trolling motor and love em. I've got them set just the way i like and can see fish sitting right on the bottom with my zoom on. Also i can take the 480 and put it on the transom and the 320 on the bow. They use the same make transducer. Can't beat that option.

I also have the eagle 480, I have had it for about 2 years now an its a good unit. Yes Lowrance makes them. Whats nice is if you ever want to upgrade to lowrance or another eagle with gps the plugs are all the same for the power/transdeucer, the GPS is a separate plug but the antenna plug will fit both units. I had the Eagle 500C/GPS, didnt like that one the res sucked. I will get the Lowrance unit with better resolution. The eagle 480 has a permanent spot on the front of my boat. Good detail and resoulution.

If you make it its a good choice.

Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

And we act like this Nightstalking thing is new.

For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin

Hi gabowman, got any seat time yet? By the way in case you don't know the 20 degree cone function is best, I think, in freshwater unless you are in very deep water, if I'm wrong someone correct me. If you haven't been here it may help.
