    Ken,

Does the cut bait work as good as corn? I guess it does since you are killing them out there. I need lessons. I have only been fishing for 46 years and get my butt kicked regularly by the spotted guys. Send help to the south.

Now I'm addicted to this way of Crappie fishin' and spend all my minnow money on Southern Pro Hot Grubs in various colors!:p

Now my problem is that I don't get to go Crappie fishin' often enough ... can you help me with my problem Ken???

Those people usually post questions for help Ken....

This site is full of helpful information, but I have seen very few posts that state how good someone is at fishing and that they are willing to help...seems a bit cocky!

Catch em all Ken...I've got a lot to learn, but I can get fish out of the freezer anytime of the year, but thanks for the opportunity for some "professional" advice. I'll get back with ya when we are limited to cutbait fishing for crappie down here in the south....

Storms came thru Saturday and the lake has been dropping about 4 to 6 inches a day since. Lake is still about 5 feet higher than normal and pretty muddy.
I normally can find some decent fish on brushpiles but didn't do much good trying this or spiderrigging. Spawn has just finished up and all we caught the last few days were dinks.
Any ideas how to fish these conditions?

I heard that fishing in the rain between the hours of 1:00am and 3:00am is guaranteed to get you fish! I think everyone should try that as soon as possible.

And by the way, I was told the heavier the rain the better.

Good reply CB, I think Cocky is the impression we all got and the reason for the smart alecky posts.

I'm sure this thread would've been better received had Ken offered a detailed report in his initial post. Weather conditions, water temp, name of the body of water he was fishing, and presentation (cut bait under 3" bobbers?)... but I guess he was right when he said they do things different out west.
